With the read_products permission, the app reads the text of your products: titles, descriptions, SEO titles and descriptions, product types and tags, plus each product's ID, handle and status. It checks that text for environmental claims restricted under EU Directive 2024/825.
The app has no access to your customers, orders, checkouts or payments, and it collects no personal data about your customers.
For each installed store: the store's myshopify domain, the access token Shopify issues to the app, your plan and language settings, and for each product the latest findings (the matched words and a short excerpt of the surrounding product text) and any findings you chose to keep. Data is stored on our server in Canada and is not sold or shared with anyone.
Until you uninstall the app. On uninstall we delete everything we hold about your store, and we honour Shopify's shop redaction request 48 hours later in any case.
You can ask us at [email protected] for a copy of the data we hold about your store or for its deletion, and we will act within 30 days.
The app flags wording for you to review. It cannot know what evidence you hold and does not replace advice from a lawyer in the countries where you sell.
